US Space and Rocket Center

The Marshall Space Flight Center is home to the US Space and Rocket Center. The center has been called the largest space attraction in the world.

If you are planning on visiting the Center, plan on dedicating a full day to your trip as there are more than 60 exhibits to see. These educational exhibits teach fascinating facts about weightlessness, G-forces, Space Travel and much more. In the IMAX theater at the Rocket Center you will see astounding footage of the space shuttle and the astronauts on board.

Harmony Safari Park

Want to visit a drive-thru Zoo? Well Huntsville’s Safari Park is the place for you!

This “in-car” 2 mile journey will take you through Huntsville’s “free-range” animal park. Zebra, Camels and Kangaroo’s may greet you as you cruise slowly through their natural habitat. The park features both exotic and endangered animals from all parts of the globe.

Cathedral Caverns State Park

Cathedral Caverns State Park in Woodville features stalagmites, million year old fossils and many other rock formations. This is a great opportunity to cool down in a constant 60 degree atmosphere at any time of the year. You will enter Cathedral Caverns through an opening that is 126 feet wide and 25 feet high and within the cave you will find many natural wonders in Big Rock Canyon and the Mystery River.

EarlyWorks Children's Museum

An educational journey into Alabama’s biggest “hands-on” museum. Listen to Bo Jackson (Huntsville Native) introduce you to this learning adventure. Visitors will start out with a film that will educate them about the history of Alabama using creative interactive displays. You will see 19th Century dress-up clothes and a model house that will teach children and adults alike about life during this period in history
